Preschool 4

Family, seasonal events, numbers 1 - 10, body parts, alphabet, community helpers, senses, colors, and animals.  These are some of the various topics taught in Preschool 3.   Topics taught in Preschool 4 are art, music, and group activities.

A theme will be introduced each week and will appear in the monthly newsletter which is sent home by e-mail or paper copy.

Religion curriculum is the Eternal Word and Faith Alive series published by the Concordia Press.  Some topics include:  creation, prayer, the Christian family, and assorted Bible stories.  We wish to instill in our students a basic belief in God's goodness and His love for them.

The students in Preschool 4 through 8th grade attend chapel on Wednesdays at 9:15, which last about 20 minutes.  Parents are welcome to attend.  By attending chapel this will allow the children to acclimate themselves to being around older children as well as futhering their knowledge of Christ.  Each month a chapel mission is published in the Preschool 4 Newsletter.  We encourge for your child to participate.

Snacks are provided by St. Paul Preschool 4 during each session.  If you would like to provide a special treat for your child's birthday, please notify us in advance.  We will be happy to set aside a special day for your child who may have a birthday when we are not in session.  Please no cupcakes or frosted treats.  Please inform us of all food allergies.

Each day a child will be given a bucket to take home to be returned the next school day for Show and Tell.  The child is to bring back one item that fits in the bucket for the class to ask questions about, in order to learn the contents.

Children should not arrive any earlier than 5 minutes prior to each session and are to enter at the front door entrance accompanied by an adult.  After 9:20 a.m. all doors will be locked and the bell must be rung, which is located on the right side of the entrance doors, in order to be let in.  Please notify us when car pools are formed.  Your child will not be released to anyone who is not on your child's information card.  Each child must be signed out by the adult picking the child up in the sign out book.  Please dress your child for outdoor play.

Monthly Preschool 4 newsletters will be sent home to inform you of weekly events and future field trips.  Please keep this handy and refer to it often.

The following schedule will give you some idea of the Preschool 4 program here at St. Paul Lutheran School:
